## Description

Position : Senior Para-Broker[](https://www.jmfw.com.au/)
Salary : $2,500–$2,800 AUD /month (Negotiable depending on the experience)
Working Hours & Conditions : AU Business Hours

ABOUT THE COMPANY:
The client’s mission is simple: to simplify the home loan journey and deliver tailored financial solutions with honesty, clarity, and unwavering commitment.

The business is a premier Australian mortgage brokerage dedicated to doing the heavy lifting for their clients—whether they are buying their first home, refinancing, investing, or navigating complex residential construction builds. Backed by strong lender relationships and deep market expertise, the company has earned an exceptional reputation for making what could be a stressful process smooth, transparent, and hassle-free.

The company values humility, honesty, accountability, and genuinely caring for both clients and teammates. They're looking for someone who shares these values and wants to build a long-term career while making a meaningful contribution to a growing business.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Para-Broker who can operate independently from day one and take end-to-end ownership of the front-end credit and loan process  . Working directly with the Principal Broker, you will act as a trusted second-in-command—managing client onboarding, complex credit analysis, and lender management through to formal approval.

This is not a task-based processing role. We are looking for someone who thinks critically, solves problems proactively, and takes complete ownership of every file from start to finish. You'll be trusted to make sound credit decisions, present solutions rather than simply escalating issues, and involve the Principal only for high-level strategic decisions.

As the business continues to grow, this role offers a genuine long-term leadership pathway, with the opportunity to build, mentor, and lead an offshore operations team while becoming an integral part of the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

###
1\. End-to-End Front-End Loan Management

- Manage the complete front-end loan process from initial enquiry through to formal approval, taking full ownership of every file.
- Build strong relationships with clients by delivering exceptional service and confidently communicating throughout the lending journey.
- Conduct detailed credit analysis and structure lending solutions across a wide range of scenarios, including Self-Employed borrowers, Construction Loans, Guarantor Loans, and other complex applications.
- Liaise directly with Australian lenders, Business Development Managers (BDMs), and credit assessors to negotiate policy exceptions, respond to information requests, and drive applications towards approval.
- Maintain comprehensive file notes and ensure seamless handovers to the Australian settlements team upon formal approval.

### 2\. Credit Decision-Making & Business Support

- Independently assess lending scenarios and recommend practical, commercially sound solutions rather than simply identifying problems.
- Exercise strong judgement and confidence in credit decision-making, escalating only high-level strategic matters where appropriate.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve workflows, systems, templates, and operational efficiency across the brokerage.
- Take ownership of outcomes while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and compliance standards.

### 3\. Leadership & Culture

- Act as the Principal Broker's trusted operational partner, helping create capacity for continued business growth.
- Mentor and support future offshore loan processors by sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
- Help establish scalable processes and contribute to building a high-performing offshore operations team.

## Requirements

### Essential

- 5-8+ years of direct Australian mortgage broking experience as a Senior Para-Broker, with the ability to operate independently from day one.
- Demonstrated proficiency using Broker Engine, Mercury, and FLEX.
- Extensive experience with Construction Loans, Guarantor Loans, Self-Employed borrowers, and complex residential lending scenarios.
- Strong understanding of the complete mortgage process, from client discovery through to post-approval settlement.
- Proven Australian mortgage broking experience will be valued more highly than formal qualifications.
- Exceptional communicator with outstanding written and verbal English, confident speaking directly with Australian clients, lenders, and Business Development Managers (BDMs).

### Who You Are:

- A proactive professional who naturally takes ownership and sees every file through from start to finish.
- A confident critical thinker who brings solutions, exercises sound judgement, and thrives with minimal supervision.
- Calm under pressure, highly organised, and able to manage competing priorities without compromising quality.
- Humble, honest, accountable, and genuinely invested in delivering outstanding outcomes for both clients and teammates.
- Motivated by long-term career growth and excited by the opportunity to become a future leader within a growing Australian mortgage brokerage.
