## Description

**Due to the expansion of our Containership and Bulk Carrier fleets, we are actively seeking an experienced Assistant Fleet Manager / Superintendent Engineer.**

**As an Assistant Fleet Manager/Superintendent Engineer you will**

be a part of a team which oversees a fleet of 5-6 vessels maintaining exceptional vessels’ performance with optimum efficiency and utilization; and complying with established company and government regulations regarding safety, quality and environment. As an Assistant Fleet Manager/Superintendent Engineer you will supervise vessels from an engineering aspect.

As a part of your role, you will:

-   Monitor vessels performance on regular basis utilizing the provided technology
-   Communicate and guide Chief engineers
-   Guide and supervise actions related to preventive maintenance
-   Make sure that necessary repairs are completed on time
-   Participate in attendances at dry docks and visit once per year each vessel for superintendent inspection or any other emergency occasions
-   Ensure that all vessels are maintained in a good and sound condition whilst all relevant classification, statutory requirements are met and ensures that all surveys/inspections carried out by Class, Port State Controls, USCG, Flag in accordance with the relevant and applicable regulations etc., are successfully completed either with proper preparation from the crew or assistance from shore side.
-   Communicate with PSC-FLAG-U/W-P and I-Insurance in respect of inspection planning and execution including preparations of action plans, monitoring and closing of technical findings
-   Ensure the implementation of the company’s maintenance and inspection system with particular emphasis to the environmentally sensitive equipment and systems

## Requirements

**The ideal candidate should have**

-   Degree in Marine Engineering (Chief Engineer)
-   At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
-   On board experience as Chief Engineer
-   Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
-   Efficiency in troubleshooting
-   Availability for travelling
