Here at Darwin we don’t just get the job done, we go the extra mile. We strive to achieve one extra degree in all we do. We can do this because we have amazing people who do awesome things. Wherever we are in the world we inspire connections and take great care to make working at Darwin a rewarding and meaningful career experience.
Darwin was born as Thomsons Online Benefits in 2000 by visionaries Michael Whitfield and Chris Bruce who had a dream - to use technology to revolutionize the employee benefit market. We truly believe that using our platform and products can impact and improve people’s lives. In fact, more than 2 million people are already using our platform. That’s a lot of people enjoying their flexible benefits! Today we have over 700 employees around the world who are making that dream a reality for some of the world’s most successful companies (including 8/10 top tech brands!), continuing to revolutionize the benefits market and turn the world PINK as we go.
For many Pink is just a colour, but for Darwin People, it means so much more. Pink is the word we use to describe the intangible quality or ‘essence’ of a Darwin Person, and our culture – it’s the amalgamation of everything we do and stand for. It’s not easy to put into words because it’s just who we are and the feeling and experience we create for the people who work with us. Our purpose is clear: to 'Change benefits. For good.', and it drives everything we do. It drove us to create Darwin – the platform that transformed the benefits management and communications market – ensuring employees all over the world can access the support they need from their employer in the moments that matter to them. Our purpose is what keeps us innovating and pushing the market and ourselves to do more, to do better.
It doesn’t just matter what you do, it matters how; and that’s why we have a strong set of core values. We’re not perfect (who is?!) but that’s the beauty of a Darwin Person, they’re always open to learn, challenge, improve, collaborate, innovate and have fun along the way.
