At Datacom, we're looking for a Graduate Systems Analyst to join our Security Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to build hands-on experience working alongside experienced cyber security professionals who protect and support some of Australia's most important organisations.

You don't need years of experience. We're looking for curious minds, strong problem-solvers, and people who are eager to learn.

As part of our Managed Operations Security team, you'll receive training, mentoring, and exposure to real-world security operations while developing the technical and professional skills needed for a successful career in cyber security.

**What You'll Be Doing**

In this role, you'll work closely with experienced team members to:

-   Monitor security systems and technology platforms to help identify potential threats and issues

-   Investigate alerts and incidents under guidance from senior analysts
-   Support the maintenance and operation of security tools and systems
-   Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
-   Help document processes, procedures, and technical solutions
-   Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the team
-   Learn industry best practices in cyber security, risk management, and operational excellence
-   Collaborate with team members across Datacom to deliver positive outcomes for our customers

**What We're Looking For**

**Required**

-   Australian Citizenship (required to be eligible for Baseline Security Clearance)

-   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-   A genuine interest in cyber security and technology
-   Strong communication and teamwork skills
-   Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
-   Recent completion of a degree in: Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related discipline

**Nice to Have**

You don't need to have all of these, but exposure to any of the following is beneficial:

-   Windows, Linux or Unix operating systems

-   Networking fundamentals
-   Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud)
-   Security concepts such as SIEM, threat monitoring, incident response or vulnerability management
-   Scripting or programming experience (PowerShell, Python, SQL or similar)
-   Industry certifications such as: Security+, Microsoft Fundamentals, Azure Fundamentals, ITIL Foundation
