**About the Role**

The Contracts Manager plays a vital role in our Commercial & Account Management team, serving as an important connection between Datacom and our customers. You'll be responsible for overseeing the negotiation, structuring, and management of contractual documents that establish and maintain strong business relationships with our customers, vendors and partners. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance commercial acumen with technical understanding to deliver long-term benefits for both Datacom and our clients.

Our office is based in Sydney. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/life balance. This role will require you to work onsite 3 days per week.

Please note that to be successful in this role, you must be an **Australian Citizen** and be able to achieve a Baseline security clearance. This role will be offered as a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

**What You'll Do**

At the moment, as Contracts Manager you will be focused on:

-   Reviewing and approving contractual documents to protect the company's contractual position and ensure adherence to company policy
-   Advising management on contractual rights, obligations and interpreting terms and conditions
-   Providing guidance regarding company policies and contract obligations to meet schedules and technical requirements
-   Establishing systems for measuring contract performance and outcomes across customer accounts
-   Providing commercial negotiation advice and expertise to support management decisions, bids, renewals, variations and dispute resolution
-   Attending regular commercial forums with customers, tracking variations, issues, risks and maintaining comprehensive documentation
-   Collaborating with the Risk team to identify, document and manage contractual risks through effective governance
-   Monitoring dependencies between customer goals, Datacom goals and contractual obligations
-   Identifying continuous improvement opportunities and communicating recommendations to management and delivery teams
-   Providing governance support and escalation to ensure successful delivery of contract obligations on time, within budget and aligned to objectives

**What You'll Bring**

**Required Experience:**

-   Demonstrable experience in Information Technology with extensive experience Commercial & Contract Management on the Vendor side
-   Strong understanding of contracts and contractual mechanisms including variations, extensions, service levels, exemptions and price reviews
-   Strong financial management experience, including cost estimation, budget tracking and reporting
-   Demonstrated understanding and implementation of Account Management disciplines
-   Exceptional commercial management skills with proven ability to solve complex problems
-   Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project
-   Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills
-   Ability to influence and develop productive relationships with stakeholders and key users
-   Contract Management or Accounting qualifications

-   Deep understanding of technical infrastructure projects and related technology dependencies
-   Demonstrated experience managing people and teams
-   Ability to apply analytical skill and conceptual thinking to operations and systems planning
-   Highly developed coaching and facilitation skills
-   Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills
-   WorldCC Membership or accreditation
-   Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or related discipline
