**About the Role**

As a Platform Engineer, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for building and maintaining the platforms and automation practices that underpin our technology ecosystems. Working closely with Senior Platform Engineers and technical leads, you will contribute to the implementation and ongoing improvement of core infrastructure, spanning containerisation, cloud, identity and access management, and infrastructure as code.

This is a hands-on technical role that will challenge you to grow your skills across the full platform engineering stack. You will bring an automation-first mindset to your work, actively looking for opportunities to streamline processes and improve reliability across the software delivery lifecycle.

**What you’ll do**

-   Contributing to and championing an automation first culture across platform engineering practices to drive operational efficiency and enhance customer outcomes.
-   Implementing and maintaining core infrastructure and platform services across cloud, containerisation, and hybrid environments.
-   Supporting architectural decisions by providing technical input and contributing to solution design under the guidance of senior engineers.
-   Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and contributing to improvements across build engineering, release engineering, configuration management, and environment management practices.
-   Staying across emerging technology trends and sharing relevant insights with the broader team.
-   Developing internal tooling and automating processes wherever possible, leveraging infrastructure as code and DevSecOps practices.
-   Providing technical support, testing new solutions, responding to feedback, and maintaining and supporting current solutions.
-   Adhering to and contributing to the standards set for the group's code repositories, ensuring consistency and quality in your own deliverables.
-   Collaborating with peers and senior engineers, actively participating in knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
-   Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems.
-   Resolving technical problems of moderate complexity, escalating with a solution focus where appropriate.
-   Leveraging AI-augmented workflows to increase productivity and quality across engineering activities.
-   Applying security best practices throughout platform engineering processes..

**What you’ll bring:**

-   3+ years of platform engineering experience
-   Hands-on experience across the SDLC with exposure to DevSecOps practices
-   Experience delivering across varying project methodologies and governance frameworks
-   Working knowledge of AI-augmented workflows to support productivity and quality
-   Solid computing fundamentals: Networking, Cloud, Databases, Distributed systems
-   Automation-first mindset with developing algorithmic and systems thinking
-   Working understanding of Linux and Windows server platforms
-   Solid understanding of containerisation and Kubernetes — concepts and operations
-   Familiarity with IAM and secrets management and how they fit within Kubernetes and traditional infrastructure ecosystems
-   Working knowledge of scripting languages: PowerShell, Bash, Python
-   Understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts (Terraform)
-   Exposure to or interest in AI agent design and orchestration
