- Inspect HVAC systems, chillers, pumps, piping, plumbing, fire protection systems, and associated mechanical infrastructure.
- Review mechanical submittals, shop drawings, equipment specifications, engineering drawings, and BIM coordination models to identify technical discrepancies and installation conflicts.
- Serve as the primary on-site mechanical engineering contact, coordinating technical questions, RFIs, and construction issues with contractors and off-site design engineers.
- Identify installation deficiencies, design discrepancies, and incomplete work, and track corrective actions through resolution.
- Witness mechanical system testing and commissioning activities, including pressure testing, flushing, equipment startup, testing, adjusting and balancing (TAB), and functional performance testing.
- Support integrated systems testing, system acceptance, and project handover, including review of as-built drawings, equipment documentation, and operations and maintenance manuals.
- Maintain accurate inspection reports, punch lists, non-conformance reports, technical records, and construction quality documentation.
- Collaborate with Construction, Engineering, Operations, and commissioning teams to resolve technical concerns and support project progress.
- Monitor compliance with applicable mechanical codes, safety standards, and project specifications, including IMC, IPC, NFPA, and ASHRAE requirements.

### What You'll Need

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of technical education and relevant experience.
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, mechanical construction, or construction engineering, preferably involving large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
