## Description

**Job Summary:**  
A Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting goods from a distribution point to customers in a timely, safe, and professional manner. This role requires strong time management, navigation skills, and a focus on customer service.

### **Key Responsibilities:**

-   Pick up, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses according to assigned routes
-   Verify delivery details (addresses, contents, and instructions) before departure
-   Load and unload goods safely, sometimes handling heavy items
-   Follow traffic laws and safety regulations at all times
-   Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and receipts
-   Communicate with dispatchers, supervisors, or customers regarding delays or issues
-   Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
-   Perform basic vehicle checks and report maintenance needs

## Requirements

### **Required Skills & Qualifications:**

-   Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
-   Ability to operate delivery vehicles (cars, vans, or trucks)
-   Good navigation skills (GPS and map reading)
-   Strong time management and organizational skills
-   Basic math and record-keeping abilities
-   Physical stamina for lifting and carrying packages
-   Good communication and customer service skills
-   Ability to lift and carry packages (often 25–50 lbs or more)
-   Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
