## Description

### Role Overview

We are seeking a **Senior Storage Engineer** to lead operational, testing, and documentation activities across enterprise storage and networking infrastructure, with a primary focus on **Dell EMC PowerFlex**, **Dell EMC PowerMax (PMAX)**, and **Dell Switches**. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with operational tasks, resilience/failure testing, performance tuning, and producing high-quality technical documentation (SOPs, LLDs, and diagrams).

### Key Responsibilities

### Core Platforms

-   Perform day-to-day operational tasks on **PowerFlex**, **PMAX**, and **Dell Switches**.
-   Produce and maintain technical diagrams and documentation using **Visio**.

### PMAX – Testing & Validation

-   Create and restore snapshot copies.
-   Simulate port/path failures and validate host multipathing behavior (e.g., cable removal scenarios).
-   Test single power supply failure scenarios (e.g., power cable removal) and validate system resilience.
-   Export and restore Unisphere configuration backups.
-   Confirm alert visibility and accuracy within the Unisphere dashboard (e.g., validating power failure alerts).

### PMAX – Operational Documentation (SOPs)

Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures covering:

-   Recovery procedure validation (volume recreation, masking remapping)
-   Capacity utilization monitoring
-   New volume creation
-   LUN masking and mapping
-   Unmasking and deletion of volumes
-   Configuration of service levels (Diamond/Platinum/Gold/Silver)
-   Performance monitoring (per box, per LUN, per host)
-   Patch installation procedures
-   Configuration file backups
-   Log collection procedures

### PMAX – Additional Technical Tasks

-   Debug and troubleshoot syslog configuration between PMAX and the client syslog server.
-   Document LUN-per-port mapping as part of Low-Level Design (LLD) deliverables.
-   Review LUN-per-port mapping for Front-End port load balancing.
-   Review PMAX ports for errors and performance issues.

## Requirements

### Required Skills & Qualifications

-   Proven hands-on experience with **Dell EMC PowerMax (PMAX)** administration and operations.
-   Experience with **Dell EMC PowerFlex** in operational/support capacity.
-   Working knowledge of **Dell networking/switching** infrastructure.
-   Strong understanding of SAN concepts: multipathing, LUN masking/mapping, snapshots, service levels.
-   Experience with **Unisphere** for PowerMax management.
-   Proficiency in **Visio** for technical documentation and diagramming.
-   Strong documentation skills — able to write clear, structured SOPs and LLDs.
-   Experience with syslog configuration and troubleshooting.
-   Familiarity with performance monitoring and capacity planning on enterprise storage arrays.

### Preferred Qualifications

-   Dell EMC certifications (e.g., PowerMax, PowerFlex specialist certifications).
-   Prior experience in a client-facing or managed services environment.
-   Experience supporting telecom or large enterprise environments.
