### Senior Infrastructure Engineer

### Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced **Senior Infrastructure Engineer** to design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise IT infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience across **servers, virtualization, cloud platforms, storage, networking, backup, and infrastructure security**, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure high availability and performance of critical systems.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise infrastructure environments.
-   Manage **Windows Server and/or Linux** systems, including patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
-   Administer virtualization platforms such as **VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, or equivalent technologies**.
-   Support cloud and hybrid-cloud environments, particularly **Microsoft Azure and/or AWS**.
-   Manage **Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related Microsoft infrastructure services**.
-   Configure and maintain enterprise **storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions**.
-   Support LAN/WAN infrastructure and coordinate with network and security teams when required.
-   Monitor infrastructure availability, capacity, and performance and proactively address potential issues.
-   Implement infrastructure security standards, access controls, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and patch management.
-   Troubleshoot complex infrastructure incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
-   Participate in **high-availability, disaster recovery, migration, upgrade, and infrastructure transformation projects**.
-   Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, procedures, and operational standards.
-   Automate routine infrastructure activities using tools such as **PowerShell, Bash, Python, or infrastructure automation platforms**.
-   Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
-   Work closely with application, cybersecurity, network, database, and cloud teams to ensure reliable service delivery.
-   Follow ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, change, and configuration management.

### Requirements

-   Bachelor’s degree in **Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering**, or a related field.
-   **3+ years of experience** in IT infrastructure/system engineering, including significant experience in enterprise environments.
-   Strong hands-on knowledge of **Windows Server and/or Linux administration**.
-   Strong experience with **VMware, Hyper-V, or similar virtualization technologies**.
-   Good knowledge of **Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity/access management**.
-   Experience with **Azure, AWS, or hybrid-cloud infrastructure**.
-   Understanding of enterprise networking concepts including **TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing**.
-   Experience with enterprise **SAN/NAS storage, backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions**.
-   Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and management tools.
-   Strong understanding of **high availability, business continuity, security, and infrastructure best practices**.
-   Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause-analysis skills.
-   Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in business-critical environments.
-   Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

### Preferred Qualifications

-   Certifications such as **Microsoft Azure, AWS, VMware VCP, Red Hat RHCE, Microsoft, Cisco, or ITIL**.
-   Experience with infrastructure automation using **PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, Python, or Bash**.
-   Experience supporting **large-scale, highly available enterprise environments**.
-   Knowledge of container technologies such as **Docker and Kubernetes** is an advantage.
