# AutoCAD Draftsman / Technical Detailer (Interior Fit Out Works)

## Description

**1.     Basic Function:**

The AutoCAD Draftsman /Technical Detailer is responsible for producing accurate and coordinated technical drawings, layouts, and detailed documentation for interior fit-out works. Working under the guidance of the Senior Technical Designer, this role supports the design team by translating design concepts into precise construction-level documents that reflect the design intent, comply with regulations, and are aligned with site execution requirements.

**2.     Major Duties and Responsibilities:**

**1\. Technical Drawing & Documentation**

-   Prepare detailed plans, sections, elevations, and shop drawings for interior layouts, joinery, and finishes based on design inputs and markups.
-   Produce technical documentation for architecture, interior, and MEP integration as required.
-   Create and update drawing sets in line with project stages — from concept to construction.
-   Ensure all drawings follow company standards, templates, and layering conventions.

**2\. Coordination Support**

-   Work closely with the Senior Technical Designer to incorporate redline comments, design changes, and coordination inputs from other disciplines (MEP, structural, etc.).
-   Ensure that all drawing revisions are clearly tracked and updated across sets.
-   Coordinate closely with the site team to reflect buildability and installation requirements in drawing outputs.

**3\. Material & Detail Support**

-   Assist in developing detailed drawings for bespoke joinery, finishes, and fixtures.
-   Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to reflect accurate product dimensions and specifications in the drawings.
-   Support in preparing technical submittals and drawing packages for authority or client review when required.

**4\. File & Data Management**

-   Maintain organized drawing files in the project database in coordination with the Senior Technical Designer and Document Control.
-   Ensure correct file naming, version control, and layering in line with internal QA/QC procedures.
-   The employee may be required to undertake any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the management from time to time, in line with the role and organizational needs.

## Requirements

**1.     Qualifications:**

-   Diploma or degree in architecture, interior design, drafting, or a related field
-   Minimum 2 years of experience in interior fit-out projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi
-   Experience producing interior fit-out plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, and detailed sections and construction details
-   Knowledge of local fit-out standards or approval processes is an advantage
-   Professional proficiency in English

**2.     Specific Job Abilities:**

-   Strong technical drawing and detailing skills for interior fit-out works
-   Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD
-   Ability to interpret design sketches and convert them into precise drawings
-   Experience applying drawing layering conventions, revision tracking, and QA/QC checks on technical drawings
-   Experience coordinating with senior technical designers, site teams, MEP consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors
-   Experience producing joinery drawings is a plus
-   Experience coordinating drawings with MEP requirements is a plus
