## Description

We're looking for a **Freelance Social Media Content Creator (Japanese Bilingual)** who understands Japanese social media trends and can create engaging content for platforms such as **Instagram, Threads, and X**.

This role is focused on content creation rather than advanced graphic design. You'll work closely with the social media team to transform ideas into visually engaging posts using AI-powered creative tools and lightweight design platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

-   Create engaging social media content for Instagram, Threads, X, and other digital platforms.
-   Design static social posts using AI-assisted design tools and templates.
-   Turn marketing ideas into visually appealing content that resonates with Japanese audiences.
-   Adapt global campaigns for the Japanese market while maintaining brand consistency.
-   Support content ideation by identifying local social media trends, memes, and cultural moments.
-   Use AI tools to generate creative concepts, layouts, copy, and visual assets.
-   Collaborate with the social media team on content planning and campaign execution.
-   Ensure all content aligns with Wise's brand guidelines and tone of voice.

### REQUIREMENTS

-   Native-level Japanese proficiency with a strong understanding of Japanese culture, trends, and social media behaviour.
-   Proven experience creating content for platforms such as Instagram, Threads, X (Twitter), TikTok, or similar social channels.
-   Experience using AI-powered creative tools such as ChatGPT, Canva AI, Adobe Firefly, Adobe Express, Midjourney, DALL·E, or similar to create engaging social content.
-   A good eye for visual design, layout, typography, and creating clean, on-brand social media assets.
-   Experience adapting marketing concepts into engaging content for digital audiences.
-   Strong understanding of current Japanese internet culture, memes, and trending topics.
-   Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
-   Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**

-   Experience using design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar platforms.
-   Basic photo editing, video editing, or motion graphics experience is a plus.
-   Conversational English skills to collaborate with an international team.
