## Description

The Manufacturing Engineer for surgical robotic instruments will play a key role across the full product lifecycle, from setting up new assembly lines to driving continuous improvement once production is up-and-running. The Manufacturing Engineer will work at the intersection of R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and our external partners and will make sure every product can be built reliably,  efficiently, and meet yield and performance as volumes grow.

This role is based at our Epalinges office, with regular time at our suppliers' sites (mostly in western Switzerland).

**Duties & Responsibilities**

-   Provide engineering support to production, resolving process deviations, equipment issues, and quality events with structured root-cause analysis
-   Drive continuous improvement in production performance, turning data and root-cause analysis into better processes and design. Monitor and improve process capability, assembly lines, first-pass yield, cycle time, and cost per unit.
-   Establish and maintain manufacturing documentation, such as process flows, pFMEAs, etc.
-   Review field complaints related to medical devices, and contribute to root-cause analysis and corrective actions
-   Plan and execute process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ), test method validations, and equipment qualifications in line with ISO 13485
-   Be the voice of manufacturing during product development to ensure products can be manufactured reliably and cost-efficiently (design-for-manufacturing, design-for-assembly).

## Requirements

-   Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, or equivalent)
-   5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, industrialization or process development in the medical device industry  (ideally in a controlled environment)
-   Knowledge of precision mechanical assembly
-   Experience in development and/or qualification of manufacturing equipment
-   Knowledge of manufacturing statistic tools (Minitab or similar)
-   CAD (SolidWorks or similar) skills is a plus
-   Fluent in English and French
