**Workplace:** hybrid

**Department:** Human Resources

## Description

We seek an HR Business Partner who enjoys understanding how teams work, forms a thoughtful view of the people challenges they face, and turns that understanding into practical improvements.

Working with leaders and team members across engineering, product, and corporate functions, alongside HR colleagues, you will use your understanding of each team’s context to help leaders make better people and organizational decisions and advance agreed priorities.

You will maintain an ongoing partnership with teams and drive defined HR initiatives with support from colleagues. The leaders and HR team will agree with you on the teams you support, priorities, initiative scope, and division of responsibilities, reviewing these as needs change. Leaders remain accountable for managing their teams and making management decisions.

### What You'll Do

- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the teams’ goals, ways of working, and key people challenges through regular contact with leaders and team members. Investigate specific issues in greater depth when needed to inform decisions and move agreed actions forward.
- Partner with leaders on performance, employee development, role clarity, team design, and leadership effectiveness; offer constructive feedback and challenge assumptions.
- Help leaders and team members address conflict by hearing different perspectives, facilitating constructive conversations, and following up on agreed actions.
- Drive agreed HR work through implementation and evaluation with HR colleagues’ support—for example, improve a leadership feedback process or pilot a leader development activity. Define the problem and responsibilities, research options, test a practical solution, coordinate implementation, and review results.
- Combine HR research and organizational behavior with employee feedback, internal data, and useful benchmarks. Adapt solutions to Divar rather than apply familiar practices by default.
- Agree on measures of progress and impact, then use results and feedback to decide what to continue, change, or stop.
- Build stakeholder support, address concerns, keep commitments, and share decisions, learning, and documentation so colleagues can contribute to and support the work.

### What Success Looks Like

During your first months, you will:

- Develop a practical understanding of the teams you support and build effective working relationships with leaders and team members through listening, sound judgment, and follow-through.
- Agree on focused priorities, responsibilities, and ways to assess progress with leaders and HR colleagues.
- Make tangible progress on a defined initiative and improve your approach using early feedback and evidence.

Over time, your work should lead to better people decisions and practical improvements in how teams work, while leaders seek your perspective on difficult questions.

## Requirements

- Around 4–5 years of relevant HR experience, including direct work with managers and employees on team or organizational challenges.
- A solid grounding in HR and organizational behavior, and a habit of reading and critically evaluating research and practices.
- Experience taking an HR initiative from problem definition into implementation with others and following through on agreed actions.
- Ability to interpret data and feedback, compare approaches, and define and track useful measures of progress and impact.
- Clear communication, constructive feedback, and sound interpersonal judgment; ability to build credibility and work through disagreement without formal authority.
- Curiosity about how different teams and business functions operate, with the ability to learn their goals, ways of working, and constraints and use that understanding in recommendations.
- Ownership, persistence, and flexibility: you keep work moving and revise your ideas when evidence or feedback suggests a better approach.
- Professional judgment in sensitive situations, respecting confidentiality, fairness, and the needs of employees, teams, and the organization.

### Nice to Have

- Experience supporting engineering or product teams, or working where teams have substantial autonomy.
- Familiarity with engineering and product roles, collaboration patterns, delivery cycles, and on-call responsibilities; specific technical expertise is not expected.
