NorthWest Wood Treaters LP, a wood treating plant, operating as Doman Treating is part of the Doman Treating Division, which is under the Doman Building Materials Group Ltd.

**SUMMARY**

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the General Labourer wraps, bands, labels, counts, and identifies lumber using various lumber handling equipment.

**EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS**

-   Operates lumber handling equipment at various wood stacking machinery.
-   Apply barcode on lumber.
-   Bands and wraps lumber.
-   Occasionally hand piles wood.
-   Services production machines.
-   Maintains a clean and organized yard.
-   Adheres to all work safety rules and regulations.
-   Adheres to customer service commitments.

## Requirements

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**

-   Attention to detail.
-   Able to count and identify various lumber products.
-   Experience working in a lumber mill or lumber yard is desirable.
-   Must have own steel-toed boots.
-   Able to lift up to 50 pounds or 23 kilograms.
-   Bending, lifting, and reaching during course of shift.
-   Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
-   Forklift certification is an asset.
-   Level Three First Aid is an asset.

 **EDUCATION**

-   High school graduation preferred
-   Background in Forestry, Wood Processing is an asset

**HOURS OF WORK:** Monday-Thursday 6:00am – 4:30pm
