We focus on building state-of-the-art IT solutions aiming at environmental management and also on providing specialized environmental consulting services in the fields of air quality, waste management, circular economy and climate change.

We are seeking a talented and motivated **Climate Change Expert** to strengthen our Climate Resilience team. The ideal candidate will contribute to advancing the understanding of climate change risks and the development of resilience strategies across various sectors and regions.

**Key Responsibilities:**

**Climate Change Projections:**

-   Conducting assessments of global and regional climate change projections.
-   Analyzing climate model outputs, identifying trends, uncertainties, and biases.
-   Applying bias correction and downscaling techniques.
-   Staying up to date with the latest advancements in climate science.

**Climate Risk Assessment:**

-   Performing climate risk assessments for key sectors (agriculture, water resources, infrastructure, ecosystems, etc.).
-   Developing composite climate risk indicators (hazard, exposure, vulnerability, and adaptive capacity).
-   Collaborating with stakeholders to incorporate their needs into risk assessments.
-   Communicating findings clearly through technical reports and presentations.

**Additional Duties:**

-   Supporting the preparation of project proposals and tenders.
-   Collaborating with other teams across the organization.
-   Participating in project meetings, workshops, and reviews.

## Requirements

-   Bachelor’s **and** Master’s degree in Atmospheric Science, Climate Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
-   **At least 2 years** of proven experience in climate change modeling and/or climate risk assessment.
-   Good knowledge of programming languages (Python, R, CDO).

**Personal Skills:**

-   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
-   Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both **Greek and English**.
-   Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
-   Strong organizational skills and ability to deliver on time.

**Nice to Have:**

-   PhD in a relevant field.
-   Experience with GIS software and spatial data analysis.
-   Experience in EU or national research and innovation projects.
