We are looking for an experienced and dynamic **IT Project Manager** with strong expertise in software development and European funded projects to join our Research & Innovation team.

The successful candidate will lead the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of Horizon Europe projects with a strong focus on **software design, development, and digital transformation**, aiming to deliver innovative IT solutions that address environmental sustainability and global societal challenges.

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Manage and implement software-focused Horizon Europe projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of all objectives and deliverables.
-   Oversee the full **software development lifecycle** (from requirements gathering and design to development, testing, and deployment).
-   Contribute to specific tasks within Work Packages (WPs), including technical implementation, software architecture design, and solution development.
-   Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary internal teams (scientists, software developers, UX/UI designers) and international external partners from academia and industry.
-   Ensure that all developed solutions effectively address scientific, technical, and environmental challenges.
-   Prepare, review, and contribute to high-quality technical documentation, deliverables, software specifications, architecture descriptions, and progress reports.
-   Monitor project progress, risks, timelines, and budgets while ensuring full compliance with EU funding rules.
-   Support the preparation of new Horizon Europe proposals, with a focus on the IT-related technical sections and work packages.
-   Lead and motivate multidisciplinary and international teams to achieve project goals in a fast-paced environment.

## Requirements

-   Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics, or a related field.
-   Proven experience in managing **European funding programms** (Horizon 2020 / Horizon Europe), with a strong focus on IT-related tasks and project delivery.
-   Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with project management methodologies (e.g., **Agile, Scrum, Waterfall**).
-   Experience in coordinating **software development** or **digital transformation** projects.
-   Excellent command of **English** (both written and verbal), with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
-   Demonstrated leadership skills in managing and motivating multidisciplinary and international teams.
-   Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
-   Highly organized and self-driven, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
-   Background or strong interest in **environmental sustainability** projects and the use of IT solutions for global challenges.

**Nice to Have:**

-   MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Informatics, Engineering, or a related field.
-   Hands-on experience in **proposal writing** for Horizon Europe or other competitive EU research funding programmes.
-   Good understanding of technical and impact-related requirements in EU proposals.
