Candidates should possess a well-rounded knowledge of facility operations to include experience in any of the following areas: building maintenance (electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, welding) material handling equipment, and industrial refrigeration.** **$27 - $31 depending on experience ** Join our talented engineering team that supports all maintenance aspects of our Cold Storage Facility. Our facility maintenance technicians: - Promote a safe work environment and follow all safety rules and procedures - Perform routine and preventative maintenance on the building systems - Monitor building systems and alarms for proper operation. Respond to malfunctions, perform limited trouble-shooting, and initiate service calls or requests for assistance - Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history - Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools - Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other departments - Maintain a clean and organized work environment - Report any safety hazards or concerns to management promptly - Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies - Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and systems to identify potential issues - Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems - Maintain and repair building structures, including doors, windows, floors, and walls - Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems as needed **WORK ENVIORNMENT** - Able to climb up and down ladders, scaffolding, and stairwells - Able to lift/move heavy objects using carts and hand trucks - Able to sit, stand, bend and walk for extended periods - Work varied hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays) depending on operational needs - Able to work in various environments, including temperature-controlled facilities and outdoor settings ## Requirements **Job Requirements** - 2 years of prior experience as facility maintenance technician - Familiarity with building management systems and energy efficiency practices - Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety procedures - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills - Basic computer skills for data entry and work order management\\ - Able to read and understand technical manuals and safety instructions - Able to communicate in English, both oral and written - Able to interact positively with employees, vendors, and customers - Able to work independently without direct supervision - Able to properly operate a wide variety of power tools, motorized pallet-jacks, etc. - Valid CA driver’s license - Prior mechanical, electrical, plumbing or HVAC experience preferred - Prior experience in Industrial Refrigeration (ammonia) preferred - Successful applicants must pass a post offer, pre employment drug screening ## Benefits Benefits package includes vacation, sick leave, holidays, medical, dental, vision, life/disability and 401k (optional).
