This **Heavy Equipment Service Technician** position is responsible for maintaining and repairing the demonstration and learning center fleet and support equipment ensuring they are in proper working order. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

-   Train facility staff on equipment systems, fleet maintenance, and repairs.
-   Assist in pre-production machine serviceability evaluations, in support of New Product Introduction programs.
-   Assembly & disassembly responsibilities, loading and unloading of machines upon arrival/departure.
-   Maintain records of equipment, attachments and parts.
-   Clean the service bay areas and adhere to Contamination Control Guidelines in support of delivering world class service to our customers and dealers.
-   Perform work to complete service letters on the equipment fleet and building relationships with the product groups to maintain their support of the local facility and fleet
-   Design, implement, and evaluate standard operating procedures (SOPs) affecting daily and strategic business operations to increase operational efficiency.
-   Accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
-   Apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
-   Identify, resolve and prevent issues in heavy equipment and maximize their performance.
-   Perform day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility for products
-   Anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing environment

## Requirements

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:

-   **Years of experience:** 2+
-   **Degree requirement:** High School Diploma required. Open to technical certifications.

**REQUIRED SKILLS**:

-   Experience with heavy equipment repair
-   Welding Experience and/or Certification
-   Experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, using diagnostic tools and APPS
-   Someone with experience in assembly and disassembly of heavy equipment in construction and mining industries is ideal

**DESIRED SKILLS**:

-   Knowledge of established standard operating procedures (SOPs)
-   Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques
-   Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems
-   Knowledge of techniques, procedures, and tools used in the maintenance of heavy equipment
-   Knowledge of manufacturing operations
-   Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques
