**Salary:** USD 75,000–90,000

**Workplace:** on_site

## Description

Dunlop is looking for a detail-oriented Production Artist to join our lean and mean in-house design studio. This hands-on role sits at the intersection of packaging, print, product development, and manufacturing.

Working with designers, art directors, engineers, product managers, manufacturers, and production partners, you'll translate creative concepts into accurate, production-ready physical products across Dunlop, MXR, Cry Baby, Tortex, and other brands.

You'll work on packaging and printed materials for guitar effects, strings, picks, straps, capos, slides, and other accessories, as well as artist collaborations and special projects.

The ideal candidate understands that successful production goes beyond making artwork look right on screen—you understand how artwork, color, materials, construction, printing, and finishing come together in the finished product.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Production Arts, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of experience in print production, graphic production, prepress, packaging, or a related production environment.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
- Experience preparing production-ready artwork for packaging and physical products.
- Strong understanding of print production and prepress, including CMYK, Pantone, bleeds, crop marks, resolution, and file specifications.
- Experience creating screen-print separations and preparing artwork for screen-print production.
- Familiarity with packaging dielines and structural layouts.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong eye for color, alignment, typography, and consistency.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into accurate production artwork.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

**Materials, Color & Finishing**

We're looking for someone who understands how artwork behaves in the physical world. Relevant experience includes:

- Working with textiles, embroidery, or dye-sublimation.
- Metal painting and coating, including wet paint, powder coating, anodizing, and gloss/satin/matte finishes.
- Working with different substrates and understanding their impact on color, appearance, and durability.
- Color matching from Pantone to Paint and maintaining consistency across materials and production processes.
- Inspecting finished products and identifying defects or inconsistencies.
- Working from measurements, samples, dielines, technical specifications, and production standards.
- Adapting artwork to different manufacturing and finishing processes.
