The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of “**Geotechnical Engineer OP | Γεωτεχνικός Μηχανικός Ανοιχτής Εξόρυξης****”**, for its premises in Chalkidiki. The position will be reported to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer OP-UG of the Technical Services department in Skouries.

**Main Responsibilities:**

-   Conduct geotechnical investigations, geological mapping, and rock mass characterization for open-pit operations.
-   Assess slope stability, ground conditions, and geotechnical risks, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
-   Develop and review geotechnical designs for pit slopes, berms, ramps, and excavations.
-   Implement and maintain geotechnical monitoring programs and interpret monitoring data to identify potential instability.
-   Prepare technical analyses, reports, and engineering recommendations to support mine planning and operations.
-   Provide geotechnical advice and technical support to Mine Operations and Mine Planning teams.
-   Participate in geotechnical risk assessments, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
-   Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
-   Support mine planning and excavation sequencing by providing geotechnical input and design recommendations.
-   Coordinate field inspections, investigations, and geotechnical activities with relevant operational and technical teams.
-   Provide timely recommendations to support safe, efficient, and sustainable mining operations.

**Requirements:**

-   Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Geotechnical, Geological, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

-   0–2 years of relevant experience in geotechnical, mining, geological, or civil engineering, preferably in open-pit mining.
-   Basic knowledge of rock mechanics, slope stability, ground control, and geotechnical investigations.
-   Experience with geotechnical or mining software such as Rocscience, Leapfrog Geo, Deswik, Vulcan, or AutoCAD is an advantage.
-   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical data and prepare reports.
-   Valid Driver’s License and willingness to work in a field-based mining environment.
-   Strong commitment to health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
