## Description

We are looking for a Humanities Teacher for an international school located in Chengdu. This position is available for the upcoming 2025-26 academic year starting in August 2026.

Located in a modern, high-tech district of southwest Chengdu, this spacious and well-equipped campus offers both international and bilingual curricula, serving students from Pre-K through Grade 11, with plans to expand to Grade 12. The area is known for its green spaces, easy access to the airport, and proximity to Chengdu’s rich cultural and culinary heritage, providing a vibrant and dynamic environment for both students and staff.

Job responsibilities

-   Teach Humanities subjects to middle and high school students, creating an engaging and inquiry-based learning experience
-   Prepare lessons and instructional materials that support students’ understanding of history, geography, global issues, culture, and society
-   Design and assess student projects, essays, presentations, and research-based assignments
-   Encourage critical thinking, discussion, debate, and independent analysis in the classroom
-   Support students in developing strong reading, writing, research, and communication skills
-   Collaborate with fellow teachers to further develop and refine the school’s Humanities curriculum
-   Monitor and evaluate students’ progress, providing clear targets and feedback to support individual growth

## Requirements

-   Bachelor’s degree or above in Humanities, History, Geography, Social Studies, Education, or a related subject
-   Valid relevant teaching certification preferred
-   At least 2 years of subject teaching experience
-   Experience teaching middle school and/or high school Humanities preferred
-   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
