## Description

We are looking for a High School Chemistry Teacher for a bilingual school in Kunming. This position is available for an immediate start or a January or February 2027 start.

Located in Kunming’s Chenggong District, this private non-profit school offers a bilingual and international learning environment with IB programmes across primary, middle school, and university preparation levels. The school uses small-class teaching and draws on the educational experience of a well-established Beijing-based school group, providing students with a globally minded curriculum, diverse extracurricular activities, and a strong pathway toward international university preparation

Job Responsibilities

-   Teach chemistry to high school students, creating an engaging and enriching learning experience
-   Prepare lessons, practical experiments and assessments that develop students’ scientific knowledge and investigative skills
-   Collaborate with fellow educators to develop and enhance the school’s chemistry curriculum
-   Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
-   Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers
-   Develop a supportive learning environment and promote safe laboratory practices

## Requirements

-   Bachelor’s degree or above in chemistry or a related subject
-   Two or more years of experience teaching chemistry
-   Experience teaching IBDP Chemistry preferred
-   Teaching certificate is a plus
-   Excellent communication skills
