We are looking for a Deputy Head for a bilingual school based in Changzhou, Jiangsu. This is senior leadership position is avaiable from the upcoming 2026-27 academic year starting in August 2026.

Job Details

-   Lead and develop the school’s enrichment programme from Kindergarten to Upper School
-   Oversee ECAs, school trips, camps, events, assemblies, performances, competitions, and other student activities
-   Create clear systems for planning, approving, scheduling, risk assessing, delivering, and reviewing enrichment activities
-   Manage the school calendar to make sure events and activities are well planned and do not clash
-   Work closely with academic, pastoral, boarding, operations, admissions, marketing, arts, sports, and phase leaders
-   Make sure events, trips, and activities are properly staffed, clearly communicated, and professionally delivered
-   Monitor student participation, attendance, feedback, and overall impact to improve the enrichment programme
-   Support trips, activity weeks, competitions, tours, expeditions, and immersion programmes
-   Work with group-level teams when needed to support planning, safety, staffing, parent communication, and student experience
-   Line manage relevant enrichment, ECA, performance, and public-facing teams as required
-   Support major whole-school events, activity days, assemblies, and parent-facing activities
-   Communicate clearly and professionally with parents about ECAs, events, trips, and arrangements
-   Promote safeguarding, accountability, teamwork, and strong operational standards across the enrichment programme

## Requirements

-   Degree or equivalent relevant professional experience
-   Substantial experience leading or coordinating complex programmes, events, logistics, activities, or operations in a school or similarly demanding environment
-   Experience working across multiple stakeholders and balancing competing priorities
-   Experience building systems, improving delivery, and creating operational routines that last
-   Experience managing and developing teams
-   Experience in a boarding, international, or bilingual school setting is preferred
-   Experience leading ECAs, educational visits, expeditions, performance events, or pupil programmes is preferred
-   Teaching qualification or school leadership experience is preferred
-   Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
