We are looking for a Primary School Music Teacher for a bilingual international school in Shanghai’s Pudong district. This position is available from the upcoming 2027/28 academic year in August 2027

Job Responsibilities

-   Teach music to primary school students through engaging, age-appropriate lessons
-   Develop students’ skills in singing, instrumental performance, listening and composition
-   Prepare lesson plans, learning materials and assessments that support different learning needs
-   Encourage creativity, collaboration and confidence through individual and group music activities
-   Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide constructive feedback
-   Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary learning and school performances
-   Maintain a supportive classroom and guide students in the responsible use of instruments and equipment

## Requirements

-   Bachelor’s degree
-   Recognised teaching qualification
-   Previous teaching experience in China
-   Ability to deliver engaging music lessons for primary school students
-   Strong communication, collaboration and classroom management skills
