## Description

**ELEVATION PICTURES** is a leading Canadian distributor and producer of independent feature films. We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Theatrical Sales & Exhibitor Relations Coordinator to join our Theatrical Sales department. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to launch a career in film distribution.

The coordinator will provide vital support to the theatrical sales team, assisting with exhibitor communications, booking administration, box office tracking, and release logistics. We welcome candidates from a variety of backgrounds - while prior experience in the film industry is a definite asset, a genuine passion for cinema and a strong desire to learn are equally valued.

### Key Responsibilities:

**Booking Administration**

• Assist sales team with weekly booking and holdovers for all theatrical titles  
• Maintain accurate records of all bookings, terms, and exhibitor communications in internal systems  
• Schedule and book all trade, internal, test, and acquisition screenings for the company  
• Schedule provincial classification screenings and manage content delivery  
• Enter and code all vendor purchase orders and invoices for the theatrical sales department, while providing general administrative support as needed

**Exhibitor Relations Support**

• Assist the sales team in maintaining day-to-day communication with exhibition chains and independent theatres across Canada  
• Coordinate weekly poster distribution and in-theatre consumer facing materials when applicable  
• Maintain and distribute the exhibitor facing release schedule, coordinate trade screenings for exhibition partners  
• Contribute to the development of exhibitor targeted pitch materials and sales presentations for upcoming films

**Box Office Reporting & Analysis**

• Support the negotiation process by preparing comparative booking data and market-by-market summaries  
• Compile weekly box office data from industry sources and monitor competitive landscape, flag key marketplace developments  
• Stay current on trends in theatrical exhibition, including premium formats, event cinema, and evolving exhibitor business models

**Cross-Departmental Support**

• Collaborate with the Marketing and PR teams to coordinate delivery of trailers, posters, and promotional materials to exhibitor partners  
• Collaborate with the PR Team to book promo screenings across Canada, ensuring delivery of content  
• Collaborate with the finance team to track theatrical box-office reporting & revenue from theatres and ensure timely payment  
• Support the team's participation at industry events and film festivals, including TIFF and Show Canada

## Requirements

### Qualifications & Experience:

**Required**

• A genuine passion for film and a strong interest in the theatrical distribution and exhibition industry  
• Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Google Docs, and comfort working with spreadsheets and data is essential  
• A collaborative, team-player attitude with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach

**Nice to Haves**

• Post-secondary education in the entertainment industry  
• Prior experience in in the film or entertainment industry  
• Familiarity with the Canadian theatrical exhibition landscape and key exhibitor circuits  
• Experience with theatrical booking systems (MICA, MAACS, Hollywood Software)  
• Experience attending or volunteering at film festivals or industry events  
• Bilingual in English and French is a significant asset

### Compensation

• Compensation for this role is CAD $55,000 annually
