We are expanding our Subsea Pipelines capability in Malaysia and are seeking a Project Engineer to support both the delivery of projects and the growth of our regional presence.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role with exposure to project execution and client-facing activities, offering the opportunity to develop into a broader, commercially aware position.

Working closely with operations, clients, and regional leadership, you will support the safe and efficient delivery of subsea pipeline and pre-commissioning projects across Malaysia and the wider APAC region.  
  
**Role Overview:**  
As the Interim VP of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE), you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across EnerMech’s global QHSE functions. You will drive the company's commitment to safety, quality excellence, and environmental stewardship, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

### Key Responsibilities:

-   Provide strategic leadership for the global QHSE function, ensuring alignment with Company objectives and operational requirements.
-   Promote and embed a positive culture of quality, health, safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement across all regions.
-   Develop, implement, and maintain the Company's QHSE strategy, policies, standards, and management systems.
-   Ensure compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, client, and industry QHSE requirements across all operations.
-   Lead the Company's audit, assurance, and performance improvement programmes, ensuring effective management of risks and corrective actions.
-   Oversee quality assurance, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
-   Provide strategic support and guidance to operations, projects, engineering, and business development teams to ensure QHSE principles are embedded throughout the business.
-   Monitor and report on QHSE performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
-   Lead incident management, investigations, and organisational learning processes to strengthen operational performance and risk management.
-   Represent the Company on QHSE matters with clients, regulatory authorities, certification bodies, and industry organisations.
-   Lead emergency response preparedness and crisis management activities across the business.
-   Develop and lead the global QHSE team, ensuring capability, engagement, and succession planning to support business growth.

## Requirements

-   Bachelor's degree in HSE, Engineering, Science, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
-   Extensive experience (20+ years) in senior QHSE leadership roles within the energy, industrial, or related sectors.
-   Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse, multi-disciplinary global teams.
-   Deep understanding of international QHSE standards and regulatory frameworks (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, NEBOSH, etc.).
-   Strong expertise in risk management, incident investigation, audit, and compliance processes.
-   Demonstrated experience driving cultural change and embedding safety and quality as core business values.
-   Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
-   Proven ability to manage complex projects and change initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
-   Relevant professional certifications such as CSP, CQP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
-   Willingness and ability to travel as required, both domestically and internationally.
