**The Role and Responsibilities**

A new role has arisen for a Group Tax Manager to join our Tax team based in the UK. This role can be based in either Aberdeen or the Central Belt of Scotland (Glasgow/Edinburgh) and will report to our Tax Director.

The role will be accountable for the management of EnerMech’s global corporate income tax compliance, tax reporting globally, and some specific countries for tax advice. In addition, responsible for other international tax work as directed by the Tax Director.

You will work with the Tax Director to implement Global tax improvements and initiatives including systems improvements, documenting tax processes and specific tax projects.

**Tax Compliance**

-   Lead and oversee the outsourced **global corporate income tax compliance** process across all jurisdictions where the company operates.
-   In conjunction with local finance teams, manage external advisors to ensure **accurate and timely filings**, including tax returns, estimated payments, and extensions.
-   Manage the process for cash tax reporting, covering both corporate income taxes and withholding taxes.

**Tax Reporting (IFRS & Local GAAP)**

-   Lead the preparation and review of semi-annual **and annual tax provisions** (current and deferred taxes) including the consolidated tax position under of group accountsunder **IFRS**.
-   Coordinate with regional finance teams to ensure accurate tax reporting and disclosures in statutory accounts, primarily UK.

**Tax Advice**

-   Lead the provision of tax advice for new tenders, compliance and reorganisations for UK and Europe
-   Provide support to the UK business on VAT and payroll tax issues

**Transfer Pricing and Intercompany**

-   Ensure proper documentation of **intercompany transactions**, including master file and local files.
-   Support TP calculations and **year-end true-ups** in collaboration with the commercial and controllership teams.

**Governance and Controls**

-   Maintain internal controls over tax accounting and compliance.
-   Identify and mitigate tax risks through proactive reviews and control improvements.
-   Lead or support **tax audits and inquiries** across jurisdictions as assigned by the Tax Director.

**Process & Technology**

-   Champion process improvements to **automate and streamline compliance workflows**.
-   Partner with IT and finance systems teams to implement or enhance **tax reporting and compliance tools.**

**The Requirements**

To be successful for this position you will be Business or Accounting degree qualified and a holder of recognised or professional account qualification e.g. ACA and ACCA.

You will have demonstrable international tax experience gained within either top 10 accounting practice or an international business environment.

You will be a team player who continually finds new ways of improving efficiency and value. You will be detail and quality focused and have previous experience working in a fast paced environment.
