## Description

**About us**

At Environment Bank, we’re working together to help restore natural habitats across England. With thousands of acres of new habitat creation already underway, our projects are delivering biodiversity gains and helping vital ecosystems to recover and flourish.

Our diverse team includes ecologists, land managers, habitat specialists, geospatial analysts, planning advisors, account managers, digital creatives, legal experts, and more.

From our habitat specialists to our sales and marketing teams, everyone at Environment Bank is a champion for our values, working towards our goal of reversing biodiversity loss.

Environment Bank is a market-leading organisation in a sector that’s experiencing rapid growth. We’ve already built a highly skilled team of experts and we’re actively looking to expand our team in the coming months.

We’re incredibly proud of all we achieved so far and we’re still growing. If you'd like to be part of a driven organisation that's making a real difference, find your next role with the team at Environment Bank.

**The Role**

This is a **12m FTC maternity cover** and is a high-impact, high-trust role at the heart of Environment Bank's leadership. As Executive Assistant to the CEO, you will be the CEO's strategic partner in managing their time, priorities, and external relationships. You will act as a trusted gatekeeper and enabler — ensuring the CEO is focused on the decisions and conversations that matter most, and that the organisation moves efficiently around their leadership.

This role demands someone with exceptional judgement, absolute discretion, and a proactive mindset. You won't just manage a diary — you'll anticipate needs, solve problems before they arise, and ensure the CEO is always prepared, organised, and supported.

In addition to this, you will need to manage the diaries and travel arrangements for our Chief Nature Officer (CNO) and our Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

**Key Responsibilities**

**Executive Support**

- Manage the CEO's inbox, flagging urgent matters
- Manage a complex and fast-moving diary, including scheduling internal and external meetings, speaking engagements, travel, and board commitments for the CEO, CNO and CMO
- Act as the first point of contact for the CEO's office — handling correspondence, fielding requests, and prioritising effectively on their behalf
- Prepare briefing notes, agendas, presentations, and background research to ensure the CEO is fully prepared for all engagements
- Draft and edit communications on behalf of the CEO, including emails, letters, and stakeholder correspondence

**Board & Governance**

- Coordinate and support Leadership Team meetings and Board meetings, including preparing board packs, managing minute-taking, and following up on actions.  Not an urgent need for the EA to attend in person
- Maintain governance documentation and ensure compliance with company secretarial requirements in collaboration with the wider leadership team

**Stakeholder & Relationship Management**

- Build and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including investors, government contacts, partners, and media
- Represent the CEO's office with professionalism and warmth at all times

**Operations & Projects**

- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to facilitate cross-functional coordination and ensure key priorities are delivered
- Coordinate logistics for leadership offsites
- Manage expenses, invoices, and financial administration relating to the CEO and the CNO

## Requirements

**Essential**

- Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, or Chief of Staff, ideally supporting C-suite executives in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding organisational skills with an exceptional eye for detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — you write clearly, professionally, and with appropriate tone for every audience
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to build trust quickly with a wide range of stakeholders
- Discretion and confidentiality as a non-negotiable professional standard
- Ability to prioritise under pressure, adapt to changing circumstances, and work independently without close supervision
- Experience of working in a remote or hybrid setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams

**Desirable**

- Experience in an environmental, sustainability, or mission-driven organisation
- Familiarity with board governance and company secretarial processes
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships in a regulated or public-facing industry
- An interest in nature recovery, biodiversity, and the UK's environmental agenda
- Some familiarity with London would be helpful for booking lunch venues, meeting spaces etc.
