**Essel Environmental provides On-Demand Emergency and Disaster Response Personnel throughout the United States.**

**The Field Hazmat Technician is responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, general construction and other tasks.**

**Job Responsibilities:**

-   **Utilize hand-tools and equipment, absorbent booms and pads to contain and remediate impacted surfaces, soils and waters.**
-   **Operate light and heavy equipment including: pumps, vacuum, oil spill boom, generators, bobcats, etc.**
-   **Perform emergency response activities including: chemical and water spills, etiological and biological contamination, tank cleaning, equipment decontamination.**
-   **Be able to meet a 12 hour night or day shift work schedule with dependability and consistency.**
-   **Other duties as assigned**

**Qualifications:**

-   **Able to work on-call projects as well as longer term projects**
-   **Experience with pump watch, setting up gabion walls and sediment removal required**
-   **Ability to perform labor intensive activities in any weather or environmental conditions**
-   **Reliable local transportation**
-   **Ability to perform duties while adhering to safety priorities while wearing PPE, such as respirators and protective clothing**'

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $18.00- 20.00 per hour

Schedule:

-   10 hour shift
-   12 hour shift
-   8 hour shift
