About the Role

Essnova Solutions is seeking an experienced **Lead Test Engineer – Senior** to support a large-scale federal technology and application modernization initiative supporting the U.S. Census Bureau.

This role will support the development and execution of automated testing strategies for complex enterprise applications and modernization efforts. We are seeking a senior testing professional with strong hands-on experience developing automated testing solutions and integrating testing into modern software delivery pipelines.

What You’ll Do

-   Develop and execute automated testing strategies for enterprise applications.
-   Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites.
-   Perform regression testing across application releases and modernization activities.
-   Integrate automated testing into CI/CD workflows.
-   Develop and manage synthetic test data.
-   Identify, document, and track defects and testing results.
-   Collaborate with application developers, architects, engineers, and DevSecOps teams.
-   Support continuous improvement of testing frameworks, processes, and automation.
-   Develop testing documentation and technical reports.

## Requirements

-   **10–14 years of relevant testing/test engineering experience.**
-   **Demonstrated automated testing experience – required.**
-   Senior-level experience developing and executing enterprise application testing strategies.
-   Experience with technologies and practices including:

-   Katalon
-   Selenium
-   GitLab CI test integration
-   Synthetic test data generation
-   Automated regression test suites

Preferred Qualifications

-   ISTQB certification
-   CSTP certification

Work Location

This position supports the **U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland** under a hybrid work model. Candidates must be located in the DC/MD/VA area or be willing to commute to Suitland.
