Euromonitor International is the world's leading independent provider of strategic market research. We create data and analysis on thousands of products and services around the world. Our methodology is based on the understanding that the best research is carried out as close to the source as possible and to gain best access to local information we employ Contract Analysts and Industry Experts across our research markets. Our use of contract-based workers also affords the flexibility required for the range and volume of projects which are a feature of our ad hoc research arm’s operations.

The Research Operations Team (ROps) oversees Industry Experts and Contract (freelance) Analysts’ full life cycle at Euromonitor. This includes recruitment, contracting and onboarding, training, project allocation, evaluation, and compensation. 

Reporting to the Global ROps Manager, and being part of the Global Research Operations Team, the Associate Research Operations Advisor supports the recruitment, onboarding, administration, and development of our Industry Expert panel within China and globally as required by project needs and team capacity. The role also supports broader activities linked to the strategic priorities of the Global ROPs team.

### Key accountabilities

_**Recruitment (85%):**_ 

-   Effectively service recruitment needs by consulting with research teams to understand ultimate project needs. 
-   Proactive research (using Boolean and other search options), network and recruit industry experts and decision makers to participate in our research studies via phone interviews and advisory consultations.
-   Filter prospective profiles (from LinkedIn searches, public sources, or referrals) vet candidate suitability prior to their contracting by conducting telephone interviews with prospective industry experts.
-   Master and maintain applicant tracking software, files, and websites, and see to their efficient and effective use by all relevant staff.
-   Provide prospects with an overview of Euromonitor’s methodologies and processes. For this, must develop a working knowledge of Euromonitor’s methodologies and industry coverage to effectively support recruitment.
-   Facilitate the onboarding of all new experts and analysts by providing them with our onboarding material (including training for ICAs), and relevant log-in to our IT systems.  
-   Support the management, project allocation, evaluation and compensation processes for the expert and analyst pools by helping set up projects and tasks in the freelance management system (FMS), and by tracking invoicing and payment through vendors or internal processing.
-   Ensure all necessary documents are accurate and stored before approving contractor profiles on our internal systems.
-   Leverage best sources for each country in which we operate and improve processes for recruiting analysts and experts.
-   Ensure we meet all expert recruitment needs across the region, working closely with the global Research Operations Team.
-   Where required, support analyst recruitment by helping with proactive searches, screening, testing and interviewing as needed.

_**Management (15%)**_ 

-   Participate in the Global Research Operations Team and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. 

-   Support the maintenance of the database of contractor resources in line with research teams’ ongoing requests for experts and analysts. 

-   Help ensure that experts are used effectively across offices in the region, including projects under identified regional growth priorities. 

-   Monitor and provide feedback on country fees to Research Managers in our syndicated and custom research teams to ensure that we are paying fees commensurate with the calibre of experts and contract analysts required.

## Requirements

**Role Requirements:**

-   1–2 years of experience in recruiting, coordination, research support, or a related field, or a strong demonstrated interest in these areas 

-   Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and service-oriented mindset 

-   Comfort working in a fast-paced, international environment and managing multiple priorities with attention to detail 

-   Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence using online research, social media, and virtual communication tools 

-   Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field 

-   Fluency in English and Chinese, both written and spoken 

-   Interest in market research, expert networks, or talent sourcing is a plus 

**Other desired knowledge and skills** 

-   Proven training, research and/or consulting  

-   Additional language capabilities relevant to APAC markets would be a strong advantage. 

-   Interest in AI and emerging technologies 

-   Experience with software as a service including MS Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive.
