# Senior Database Engineer

## Description

We currently have a vacancy for a **Senior Database Engineer** fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert **remotely within EU**. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team.  

**Your tasks**

-   Analyse existing MS SQL, MySQL, and hybrid (Azure/AWS/on-prem) database architectures and observability maturity levels;
-   Configure and manage monitoring tools such as SQL Sentry;
-   Evaluate database performance baselines, resource utilisation patterns, and high availability configurations;
-   Suggest AI-driven monitoring, anomaly detection, and automated self-healing mechanisms for database operations;
-   Troubleshoot complex Database infrastructure and application issues;
-   Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

## Requirements

-   University degree combined with relevant IT professional experience of 10 years;
-   Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL databases;
-   Experience working with Azure, AWS, and hybrid database environments;
-   Knowledge of database performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization;
-   Hands-on experience with database monitoring tools such as SQL Sentry;
-   Experience troubleshooting complex database and application issues;
-   Understanding of High Availability (HA) and database architecture best practices;
-   Familiarity with AI-driven monitoring, anomaly detection, or database automation is an advantage;
-   Excellent command of the English language.
