**The Role** 

EAII is seeking a Senior Manager to join our People & Culture (P&C) team. The Senior Manager will play a key role in supporting the Director of P&C in developing and implementing P&C strategies, policies, and programs. The Senior Manager will be responsible for overseeing various HR functions, including employee relations, HR Operations, talent management, performance management, payroll and multi-state compliance. The Senior Manager will also contribute to shaping the organization's HR initiatives, driving employee engagement, and ensuring the effective management of our human capital.

This role will have three direct reports, with the potential for additional direct reports based in Delhi / other states as the team grows.

**Responsibilities  
**

_**Strategic HR Leadership**_

-   Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals, ensuring a positive and high-performing work environment.
-   Support employee engagement by developing programs that enhance morale, satisfaction, and overall experience.
-   Serve as a strategic advisor to the Director of P&C, providing insights and recommendations on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management. 
-   Anticipate future talent and organizational needs as Evidence Action India scales across states, contributing to long-term workforce planning. 

_**People Operations**_

-   Lead HR operations, ensuring compliance with all applicable labor laws, internal policies, and best practices.
-   Manage the end-to-end payroll process across all states for all employees, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant execution every cycle.
-   Oversee HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook, keeping them up to date and relevant.
-   Oversee employee relations, ensuring fair conflict resolution, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes.
-   Lead and manage HR budgets, including quarterly budget reviews, and optimize resources to support strategic HR initiatives.
-   Streamline and standardize policies and processes across all states in which EAII operates, ensuring consistency, compliance, and operational efficiency throughout.
-   Own and manage Total Rewards end-to-end, including providing compensation structuring and benchmarking support, insurance management and renewals, and managing other employee benefits.
-   Drive process improvement and analytics across P&C, using data-driven insights to streamline workflows and inform decision-making.
-   Own and drive the end-to-end employee lifecycle, from onboarding and integration through ongoing engagement, development, and offboarding, ensuring a seamless, consistent, and positive experience at every touchpoint.  
    

_**Talent Development**_

-   Lead performance management, including goal setting, feedback cycles, and development plans.
-   Develop and implement training programs, supporting continuous learning and leadership growth.
-   Lead employee reward and recognition programs to ensure employees feel valued, appreciated and motivated.  
    

_**Employee Engagement**_

-   Develop and implement employee engagement strategies, including annual engagement survey feedback analysis and other feedback mechanisms, to continuously enhance workplace culture.
-   Promote work-life balance initiatives, wellness programs, and mental health support to ensure overall employee well-being.
-   Foster a culture of open communication and transparency, creating an environment where employees feel heard, supported, and empowered.
-    Organize and facilitate team-building activities, employee events, and leadership forums to strengthen Evidence Action culture.

## Requirements

-   Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field. Relevant HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR) desirable
-   Proven experience (minimum 12 years) in HR management roles, with a focus on payroll, labour law compliances, employee relations, talent management, and HR operations
-   In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws and regulations
-   Experience within the social impact or development sector is preferred, particularly in organizations involved in large-scale program implementation Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to motivate and develop HR professionals
-   Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
-   Experience in handling employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and maintaining a positive work environment
-   Sound understanding of talent management and engagement strategies, performance management processes, and employee development initiatives
-   Familiarity with HRIS systems and proficiency in HR data analysis and reporting
-   Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality results within deadlines
-   Ethical and discreet handling of sensitive and confidential information
-   Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions based on data and HR best practices

**Position Location**

New Delhi, India.

Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with the individual's credentials, experience, and previous pay scale.
