These systems currently serve as the backbone for all client engagements, candidate relationships, internal collaboration, and proprietary data in the firm. 

We are looking for an experienced **Digital Platforms Director** with the capability to build and maintain a best-in-class digital platform to enable the Firm’s proprietary software tools and hosted third-party SaaS offerings. The Digital Platforms  

Director will develop and execute the strategy for the digital ecosystem aligned to the Firm’s Executive & Board Search and Leadership Advisory service offerings. 

The Digital Platforms Director will be responsible for the following: 

-   Architect, manage and coordinate all technical deliverables for the Firm’s Client, Candidate and Colleague Portal platform  

-   Manage the continuous improvement and development of the firm’s software engineering capabilities across its digital ecosystem; including but not limited to end-user facing applications, Back-office digital services and systems, re-usable software development components and libraries, APIs and Microservices – all aligned to the technology standards provided by Digital IT’s Network, Operations and Security teams. 

-   Create and/or collaborate on enterprise architecture, technical strategy, solutions architecture and technical reference materials. 

-   Liaise with senior business stakeholders in the accurate and transparent capture of programme and project level requirements to ensure alignment with the Firm’s strategic technical roadmaps 

-   Drive broader coordination and collaboration across the Egon Zehnder’s Digital IT landscape; liaising with Cloud Ops, Cyber Security, Enterprise Data, Functional and Digital IT Teams to ensure all Enterprise software, services and processes are aligned in furthering the overall scope and capabilities of the Firm’s digital ecosystem. 

-   Maintain and evolve the delivery and operational support models for all proprietary software development and third-party tools within the digital ecosystem. 

-   People management of high performing globally located technical teams. 

-   Delivery orchestration of multiple concurrent projects developed by globally located cross functional teams

## Requirements

**Qualifications** 

-   Bachelor’s degree required 

-   Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, technical management, solution delivery and RunOps. 

-   Extensive experience of Cloud-native software engineering, mobile, web technologies and industries. 

-   Strong preference for experience within the Professional Services industry 

**Experience** 

ESSENTIAL 

-   5-10 years of experience leveraging Umbraco and/or other enterprise content management systems (CMS) is a global, enterprise environment leveraging enterprise design systems  

-   5-10 years experience building applications in a Microsoft Azure environment build web and mobile responsive applications  

-   3-5 years of experience leveraging AI supporting the software development lifecycle  

-   Extensive experience of building and managing globally dispersed, multi-disciplined software engineering teams. 

-   Extensive experience in managing the delivery and operation of web and native mobile applications, back-office digital systems and services in a global, cloud-native enterprise environment. 

-   Ideally Microsoft Azure, but transferable/comparable experience in other platforms such as AWS and GCP considered. 

-   Excellent people management and staff development experience. 

-   Strong understanding of API and Microservices based architecture. 

-   Strong understanding of Security-by-design concepts and current secure engineering best practices and standards. 

-   Strong interpersonal skills with the demonstrable ability to gain the confidence, respect and trust of team members, peers, and senior leaders through influence 

-   Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate internally as well as externally with remote locations, external partners and clients. 

-   Experience identifying, assessing and working with external vendors to build, operate and transfer custom software solutions into enterprise cloud environments. 

-   Ability to work independently but also to lead in a matrixed environment. 

-   Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills 

-   Proven project and time management skills.  Must be resourceful in developing alternative solutions and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment 

-   Proven ability to work well under pressure, juggle tasks and work efficiently against deadlines 

-   The ability to ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information and thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually demanding and service-oriented environment. 

ADVANTAGEOUS 

-   Experience in the development and operation of Content Management and/or Digital Asset Management systems. 

-   Experience working within modern data environments, concepts and technologies (e.g. Data Lake, Data Factory). 

-   Experience of modern software development languages such as .NET, JAVA and JavaScript. 

-   Scrum and Agile software development experience. 

-   Experience working with Azure DevOps tools (work item management, queries, boards etc.) 

-   Recruitment, candidate screening and interviewing experience
