**Role Summary**

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who can own complex backend initiatives from design to production. The ideal candidate has strong engineering fundamentals, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while delivering scalable, reliable systems.

## Requirements

-   4–6+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.

-   Strong experience building, and operating scalable distributed systems.
-   Strong understanding of:

-   Synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns
-   Distributed systems
-   Data consistency
-   Concurrency
-   API design, external integrations, and error handling

-   Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), including:

-   Schema design
-   Query optimization and performance tuning
-   Indexing strategies
-   Transaction management
-   Database scalability and optimization

-   Experience building highly available, resilient, and observable systems.
-   Strong debugging, root cause analysis, and production troubleshooting skills.
-   Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a pragmatic approach to designing scalable solutions.
-   Comfortable leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and code quality.

**Preferred Qualifications**

-   Payments or FinTech domain experience is highly preferred.
-   Golang experience is a plus, but not required.
-   Experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and event-driven systems
