**Internship Overview**

As an FHU intern, you will gain practical experience in transportation engineering design with a focus on roadway design. You will work on real projects, build technical skills, and gain insight into the industry in a supportive environment where you can explore your career interests.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Assist in the design, analysis, and planning of engineering projects
-   Participate in fieldwork, data collection, and analysis
-   Collaborate with team members to develop solutions for clients and communities
-   Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and project documentation
-   Use industry software including AutoCAD Civil3D and/or MicroStation OpenRoads Designer

## Requirements

**Required**

-   Undergraduate (sophomore or higher) or graduate student in Transportation Engineering or a related field
-   Strong computer skills and proficiency with engineering software
-   Solid mathematics skills and strong verbal and written communication abilities
-   Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
-   Availability for a 3-month internship (approximately June through August)

**Preferred**

-   Coursework in transportation engineering
-   Prior experience
-   Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation OpenRoads Designer

## Benefits

Starting pay: $23.00 per hour
