We are seeking a highly motivated Security Analyst II to support the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) Security Enterprise Services Directorate (SESD). The successful candidate will provide professional security support services, policy analysis, administrative security management, inspections, compliance oversight, and customer support to Department of War organizations and senior leadership. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple security programs simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

### Duties / Responsibilities

### Security Program Support

-   Analyze security policies, regulations, and procedures to evaluate compliance and identify opportunities for process improvement.
-   Research security-related issues and provide recommendations, policy interpretations, and supporting documentation.
-   Support a broad range of security programs, including: Personnel Security, Information Security, Physical Security, Operations Security (OPSEC), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), Security Education and Awareness, Insider Threat Awareness, Mission Assurance (MA), Continuity of Operations (COOP)
-   Assist government leadership with security-related special projects and initiatives.

### Administrative Security Support

-   Prepare reports, analyses, executive summaries, memoranda, presentations, correspondence, and briefing materials.
-   Conduct data collection, tracking, trend analysis, and performance reporting.
-   Maintain security databases, rosters, and records.
-   Manage shared security office email traffic and ensure timely customer responses.
-   Track and process security requests from initiation through completion.

### Personnel Security Support

-   Conduct security in-processing and out-processing for civilian, military, and contractor personnel.
-   Maintain personnel security records and process actions in the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) or successor systems.
-   Track security eligibility, access authorizations, and SCI access requirements.

### Security Compliance and Inspections

-   Support annual self-inspections and Information Security Assistance Visits (ISAVs).
-   Conduct facility and security compliance inspections.
-   Identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
-   Assist with implementation of security controls, process improvements, and compliance initiatives.

### Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Support

-   Assist with SCI and collateral security program requirements.
-   Support accreditation and maintenance of secure facilities and SCIFs.
-   Prepare accreditation documentation and conduct physical security assessments.
-   Coordinate with government security officials to maintain secure environments and compliance standards.

### Training and Awareness

-   Support the development and delivery of security education and awareness programs.
-   Maintain Learning Management System (LMS) training records.
-   Conduct security briefings, awareness sessions, and foreign travel security briefings.
-   Prepare country-specific risk assessments for personnel traveling internationally.

### Customer and Leadership Engagement

-   Interface regularly with government personnel, senior leaders, and executive stakeholders.
-   Provide security program analysis, recommendations, and status updates.
-   Support meetings by preparing agendas, presentations, meeting minutes, and action item tracking.

## Requirements

-   Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
-   Minimum 1 year of experience supporting medium-scale Department of War organizations.
-   Experience supporting one or more security disciplines including personnel, information, physical, industrial, or operations security.
-   Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
-   Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
-   Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-   Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
-   Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a government-contractor team environment.

### Preferred Qualifications

-   Experience utilizing DISS or other federal security databases.
-   Knowledge of DoW security regulations, NISPOM, SCI programs, and security compliance requirements.
-   Experience supporting inspections, audits, self-assessments, or accreditation activities.
-   Familiarity with records management, OPSEC, CUI, and Mission Assurance programs.
-   Experience supporting senior leaders in a headquarters-level environment.
