## Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our team through [MezTal](https://www.meztal.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com), supporting a U.S.-based client in the senior living and healthcare industry.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in U.S. GAAP, full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close processes, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced and service-oriented environment. Experience supporting audits, preparing audit documentation, or working with internal controls is highly valued for this role.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Manage full-cycle accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses, and month-end close processes.
-   Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
-   Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
-   Support multi-entity accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
-   Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
-   Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information.
-   Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation, schedules, reconciliations, and responding to audit requests.
-   Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
-   Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency initiatives.
-   Assist with ad hoc accounting and financial analysis projects as needed.

## Requirements

### Qualifications

-   Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
-   4+ years of accounting experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or a combination of both.
-   Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting fundamentals.
-   Experience with full-cycle accounting and financial reporting.
-   Experience supporting audits, preparing audit documentation, or working closely with auditors is strongly preferred.
-   Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
-   Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
-   Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
-   Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
-   Advanced English communication skills.

### Preferred Qualifications

-   Experience in healthcare, senior living, nonprofit, or multi-entity environments.
-   Background in public accounting or audit.
-   Exposure to internal controls, compliance processes, or financial audits.
-   Experience working with U.S.-based companies or accounting operations.
