We're FluidStack, and we’ve built novel technology that allows any computer to be used as a cloud server. Utilising hundreds of thousands of contributing devices worldwide, we are building the world’s largest distributed cloud platform.
Our first product is a massively distributed content distribution network (CDN), designed to leverage a huge number of geographically distributed points of presence to provide incredibly low latency and high speeds. In February we're launcing a pilot with two very popular video streaming platforms. Afterwards we will begin building additional core components of our platform to start offering a host of other cloud services. By running computation on our hundreds of thousands of nodes, we can accelerate high performance computing, machine learning training, and big-data tasks, while also significantly reducing the cost.
Founded by a team of Oxford University graduates, we raised a £1.1m seed round earlier this year, and are backed by some of the original investors of SpaceX, Protocol Labs, and Revolut. Our advisors include the ex-CEO of BitTorrent, ex-CTO of Shazam, and one of Akamai’s founding architects. Plus, we have an office right in the heart of Shoreditch; surrounded by nice restaurants and great bars.
