## Description

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's financial operations, accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, treasury activities, and compliance requirements.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this role serves as a key financial business partner to leadership in both the United States and Europe. The Finance Manager will be responsible for fme US financial management and will work with the European Finance Team to support consolidated fme Group reporting, intercompany accounting, and other related alignment needs.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), payroll accounting, cash management, and financial reporting while supervising one Finance Assistant. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting expertise, advanced SAP (Business by Design) proficiency, and experience working in an international business environment.

**Responsibilities**

**Financial Reporting & International Finance**

-   Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for executive leadership.
-   Collaborate closely with the European Finance Team on consolidated reporting, intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
-   Manage quarterly and annual intercompany reconciliation audits.
-   Support international financial reporting requirements and ensure consistency between U.S. and European entities.
-   Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports for leadership and corporate stakeholders.

**Accounts Receivable (AR)**

-   Oversee customer invoicing, collections, cash application, and account reconciliations.
-   Monitor aging reports and proactively manage outstanding receivables.
-   Partner with project managers and sales teams to ensure accurate and timely billing.
-   Respond to client inquiries regarding invoices, payment status, and account balances.

**Accounts Payable (AP)**

-   Oversee vendor invoice processing, approvals, and payment schedules.
-   Manage ACH and wire transfer payments.
-   Maintain vendor relationships and resolve payment inquiries.
-   Ensure accurate expense coding and proper allocation to budgets and cost centers.

**Accounting & ERP Management**

-   Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
-   Record and review all monthly accounting transactions, including revenue, expenses, payroll, intercompany activity, and treasury transactions.
-   Perform revenue recognition and related month-end adjustments.
-   Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data across systems.

**Budgeting & Forecasting**

-   Support development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
-   Analyze historical spending trends and develop financial projections.
-   Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to management.

**Treasury & Corporate Finance**

-   Manage cash flow forecasting and treasury activities.
-   Administer profit distribution schedules
-   Coordinate banking, insurance, and corporate finance activities.
-   Prepare supporting schedules and reports for corporate stakeholders.

**Leadership**

-   Supervise and develop one Finance Assistant.
-   Review accounting work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
-   Establish priorities and provide guidance for daily accounting operations.

**Compliance & Audit**

-   Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, and corporate reporting requirements.
-   Support external audits and tax filings.
-   Maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures.

## Requirements

**Education**

-   Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field **required.**
-   CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.

**Experience**

-   5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
-   Experience managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
-   Experience working within multinational or international organizations required.
-   Experience supporting intercompany accounting and consolidated financial reporting preferred.
-   Prior supervisory experience required.

**Technical Skills**

-   Advanced proficiency in SAP (Business by Design) is required.
-   Experience with QuickBooks is required.
-   Strong understanding of ERP systems, financial reporting, and accounting controls.
-   Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis.
-   Knowledge of revenue recognition principles.
