> The Focusrite Group · Berlin, Germany (Hybrid) · Full-time · Posted 2026-08-10

**Workplace:** hybrid

**Department:** ADAM Audio

## Description

**Product Manager - Studio Monitors (m/f/d) – ADAM Audio GmbH**

**Location:** Berlin office / hybrid (Berlin preferred)

**Term:** Full-time, permanent

**Salary:** Depending on experience

**Start date:** as soon as possible

**Travel:** Up to 20% (trade shows, studio visits, JDM/ODM partners)

- Are you passionate about professional studio monitors and the craft of making music?
- Do you have a strong track record in hardware product management?
- Do you enjoy working in fast-paced, cross-functional teams to bring exciting and technically challenging new product ideas to life?

We are looking for a forward-thinking and experienced Product Manager to own one or more of our active studio monitor lines end-to-end - from customer insight and business case, through requirements definition and stage-gate development, to launch and life in the market.

Reporting to the Head of Product, you will be the cross-functional centre of your line(s) and make trade-offs on features, performance, cost and timing that get exceptional monitors into the hands of the creatives, engineers, producers and mixers who trust ADAM Audio.

**Role and responsibilities:**

- You will own the full lifecycle of one or more assigned studio monitor lines through opportunity framing, pre-development, stage-gate delivery, release and post-launch.
- You will monitor, document and analyse customer needs, production workflows, competitor moves and channel dynamics through structured desk research, user interviews, studio visits, dealer feedback, industry research and product testing - turning that into a defensible point of view for the roadmap.
- Working in close collaboration with the sales regions during the entire PM process, you will build structured proposals and business cases for new products, refreshes and running changes - including ASP, target BOM, gross margin, volume scenarios and pricing recommendation - for evaluation by Product Leadership and the Exec Team.
- You will translate opportunities into concise PRDs with clear acceptance criteria, balancing user value against technical feasibility across acoustics, electronics, firmware, software, and mechanics.
- You will partner with R&D, Project Management, JDM/ODM partners, Operations and Marketing, to make trade-offs on features, performance, cost and timing to meet market windows and business objectives.
- You will act as the internal hub across ADAM Audio, ensuring coordination and information flow across R&D, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Support throughout development and commercialisation.
- You will support go-to-market with pricing strategy, competitive positioning, messaging and go-to-market artefacts (data-sheets, user guides, documentation); track post-launch performance and adjust strategy accordingly.
- You will monitor in-market response and quality (warranty rates, returns, support tickets, dealer feedback) and prioritise maintenance releases, firmware updates and running changes based on business and user impact.
- You will represent your products at internal and external events - trade conferences, dealer visits, product launches - and act as a credible point of contact for users.
- Individual and team development is important, and we will support you as you look for ways to grow and improve your personal knowledge and skills. We will also be looking for you to own and help improve our approach to engineering and design knowledge, including best practices, processes, and tools. There will be the opportunity to share knowledge and practices with all companies across the Focusrite group.

**Skills and Experience:**

- Minimum 5 years of Hardware Product Management experience in professional audio or consumer electronics.
- A working command of the loudspeaker stack to be a credible peer to R&D; you can specify a frequency plot and ask the right questions on the measurements.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to author a business case, build volume and margin scenarios and reason about unit economics.
- Confidence in designing and running listening tests, structured user interviews and studio visits, and translating subjective audio judgement and objective measurement into specific, actionable requirements.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken - German language skills are a strong advantage.
- Comfort in working autonomously in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and juggling multiple large projects simultaneously.
- A genuine passion for music, audio and the creative process, with a feel for what studio professionals actually do with our products.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time (trade shows, studio visits, JDM partners in Asia, Focusrite Group regional visits).

**Beneficial Qualifications:**

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Music Technology, Business or a related discipline; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
- Direct experience in studio monitors, live sound, hi-fi loudspeakers or other professional acoustic products.
- Experience working across regional sales organisations inside a group structure.
- Familiarity with Asian culture and etiquette (JDM/ODM partner management).
