## Description

**FP Markets Group of Companies** is a well-established multi-regulated broker, founded in Australia, offering traders access to CFD trading on Forex, Indices, Commodities, Stocks and Cryptocurrencies. We are growing and looking to recruit a Full-time **Middle Data Engineer in our Cyprus office - a certified Great Place to Work®.**

You will play a crucial role in architecting and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers our organization. You will work across the entire data lifecycle from ingestion through analysis collaborating with business stakeholders and development teams to deliver robust, scalable data solutions that drive business intelligence and support strategic decision-making.

**Reporting to: Head of Data & Analytics**

**Responsibilities:**

-   Develop and maintain data integration solutions for extraction, transformation, and loading of data into Data Lake/Data Warehouse environments using cloud-based technologies
-   Design and implement rich data models and contribute to the continuous development of the organization's data estate architecture
-   Develop and onboard new data pipelines while ensuring reliability, operational stability, and performance of existing systems
-   Support the data platform through proactive maintenance, operational oversight, and investigation of data-related incidents
-   Analyze business requirements and implement innovative, scalable solutions to meet both immediate and long-term analytics and BI demands
-   Evaluate and introduce new frameworks and technologies to drive continuous improvement of the data platform and processes

**Candidate profile:**

-   **3+ years of total professional experience** in Data Engineering
-   Experience in **Trading or FinTech is advantageous but not required**
-   Good hands-on experience with:

-   **Python**
-   **SQL**
-   **Dbt concepts**

-   Experience with **ClickHouse** is preferred but not mandatory
-   Experience working with **MPP databases** is preferred but not mandatory
-   Candidates without ClickHouse or MPP experience can be considered if they demonstrate a **strong willingness to learn**
-   Good understanding of **ETL/ELT processes, data modelling, and analytical data pipelines**
-   Ability to work effectively as part of a data engineering team and develop production-ready data solutions

Nice to Have

-   Experience with **ClickHouse and/or MPP databases**
-   Experience with Airflow, Spark, Greenplum, or other modern data engineering technologies
-   Previous experience in FinTech, Banking, Trading, or other data-intensive industries
-   Ready to automate routines with codex/clade/cursor
