## Description

We are looking for an experienced **Senior Backend Developer** with strong expertise in Python, Django, and PostgreSQL to support the development, optimization, and maintenance of scalable backend applications.

The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of database architecture, API development, system performance, and security best practices. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and building reliable, high-performance solutions.

**Duties / Task to Perform**

-   Develop, maintain, and optimize backend applications using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF).
-   Design and manage PostgreSQL databases, ensuring efficient data structures, indexing, and query optimization.
-   Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support application functionality and system integrations.
-   Analyze and improve database performance, scalability, and overall system efficiency.
-   Implement and maintain logging and monitoring solutions using the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana).
-   Work with Docker to containerize applications and maintain consistent development environments.
-   Support application deployment and infrastructure-related tasks using AWS services.
-   Apply encryption, authentication, and security best practices to protect applications and sensitive data.
-   Implement and optimize caching and data management solutions using Redis.
-   Troubleshoot backend issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement effective technical solutions.
-   Collaborate with technical teams to maintain code quality, reliability, and application performance.

## Requirements

-   Strong professional experience in backend development, preferably at a senior level.
-   Advanced proficiency in **Python and SQL**.
-   Strong hands-on experience with **Django and Django REST Framework (DRF)**.
-   Solid knowledge of **PostgreSQL**, including database design, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
-   Experience using the **ELK Stack** for application logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
-   Practical experience with **Docker** and containerized applications.
-   Working knowledge of **AWS** services and cloud environments; deep expertise is not required.
-   Understanding of encryption techniques, authentication methods, and backend security practices.
-   Experience with **Redis** for caching or data management.
-   Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting skills, and ability to solve complex technical problems.
-   Ability to work independently, manage technical priorities, and contribute to scalable backend solutions.

**Nice to Have**

-   Experience with **Celery** for asynchronous task processing and background jobs.
-   Familiarity with **WebSockets** for real-time communication and application functionality.

**Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:00pm (EST)**
