A well-established international freight forwarder is seeking an experienced **Entry Writer** to join its growing Customs Brokerage team in New Jersey. ## Requirements

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Prepare, review, and file customs entries for import shipments in compliance with U.S. Customs and Partner Government Agencies (PGA) regulations.
-   Classify merchandise using HTS codes; verify valuation, country of origin, and duty calculations.
-   Communicate with importers, carriers, and agencies to resolve holds, exams, or documentation issues.
-   Maintain complete and compliant entry documentation and audit records.
-   Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure on-time shipment release and delivery.

**Qualifications:**

-   1–3+ years of customs entry writing or import operations experience within a **freight forwarding** or **customs brokerage** environment.
-   Working knowledge of **CBP regulations**, **HTS classification**, and **PGA filings** (FDA, USDA, EPA, etc.).
-   Experience using systems such as **CargoWise**, **AS400**, or similar.
-   Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and written/verbal communication.
-   Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or pursuing the license is a plus.
