**Position Summary**

This entry-level lending position will receive extensive training in all lending processes while providing valuable support to senior staff. Proactively works inside the office and out in the community to increase the bank’s core loan and deposit portfolios per underwriting and relationship pricing guidelines.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Routinely call on existing and potential customers to discuss loan options and build relationships.
-   Know the bank’s loan, deposit, and other product and service offerings and be able to explain the basics of them to prospects effectively.
-   Prepares spreads, presentations, and loan submissions for lenders.
-   Receive and process various loan applications.
-   Learn to analyze and interpret relevant financial data to aid lending decisions, including appraisal reviews.
-   Assist in underwriting loans, loan requests, and the process of loan closings.
-   Maintain community involvement to increase the bank’s visibility and develop new business relationships.
-   Support and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and bank policies and procedures.
-   Other duties as assigned.

## Requirements

-   Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
-   Previous experience in banking, lending, or financial services is preferred.
-   Local residency, education, employment, public and community service, and other local market involvement are a strong plus.
-   Strong analytical and organizational skills.
-   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-   Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
