Web Developer  
Location: Taipei, Taiwan  
  
About the Role  
We are looking for a talented Website Developer to build and maintain the digital face of a financial platform and several third-party platforms. You will be responsible for creating secure, high-performance, and accessible web applications that handle sensitive clients’ data. You will work closely with designers and backends to translate complex business requirements into seamless user experiences.  
  
Job Description:  
\- Develop responsive, pixel-perfect, and interactive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular)  
\- Translate design wireframes and prototypes into high-quality code  
\- Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use  
\- Implement complex logic for account opening, onboarding (KYC/AML), payment processing, and account management  
\- Ensure seamless integration with third-party financial APIs (e.g., Plaid, Stripe, payment gateways)  
\- Implement and adhere to strict security protocols (OWASP Top 10) to protect user data  
\- Ensure all web applications comply with financial regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, SOC 2)  
\- Implement secure authentication and authorization flows (OAuth, JWT, 2FA)  
\- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code (Unit, Integration, and E2E testing).  
\- Monitor and optimize Core Web Vitals and overall site performance  
\- Debug and resolve cross-browser compatibility issues  
\- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment with cross-functional teams  
\- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions  
\- Stay up-to-date with emerging web technologies and fintech trends  
\- Deliver and coordinate the usage of services and contents for all different local markets, including but not limited to India, Thailand, South Africa, Nigeria, Pakistan and Bangladesh  
  
Preferred qualification  
\- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)  
\- 2-3+ years of experience as a Frontend or Full-Stack Developer  
\- A strong portfolio showcasing complex web applications (fintech or high-security projects preferred)  
\- Web applications experience in WordPress or Drupal is a value-add  
\- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript  
\- Strong experience with React.js (or Vue/Angular) and state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, etc.)  
\- API Handling: Experience consuming RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data streams  
\- Version Control: Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows (GitHub/GitLab)  
\- Security: Understanding of web security best practices (CORS, CSP, XSS prevention)  
\- Experience with Next.js or Nuxt.js for server-side rendering (SSR)  
\- Familiarity with Node.js or Python for backend-for-frontend (BFF) logic  
\- Experience with D3.js, Chart.js, or similar libraries for data visualization  
\- Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines  
\- Ability to handle complex logic and edge cases in business requirement, ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is highly appreciated  
\- Bilingual proficiency in the region's language and English is often required (e.g., English and Mandarin Chinese)
