Manager, Marketing Trader  
  
About the Role  
Apical is seeking a commercially driven Marketing Trader to execute sales and marketing strategies across assigned markets and products. The role focuses on:  
\- Driving volumes and margins  
\- Managing key customer relationships  
\- Identifying growth opportunities  
\- Providing market intelligence to support trading decisions  
\- Exposure to risk management concepts is a plus  
  
What You Will Do  
\- Execute trading and marketing strategies to meet volume, margin, and growth targets  
\- Build and grow relationships with customers, distributors, and partners  
\- Identify new commercial opportunities and negotiate pricing and contract terms  
\- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and supply–demand dynamics  
\- Collaborate with HQ, production, logistics, and marketing teams on go-to-market plans  
\- Provide timely market insights to support commercial decision-making  
\- (Good to have) Apply basic risk management concepts such as exposure, hedging, and counterparty assessment  
  
What We Look For  
\- Bachelor’s degree or higher  
\- 8–10 years’ experience in commodities trading/marketing, ideally palm or agri-commodities  
\- Strong commercial acumen and relationship management skills  
\- Good analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities  
\- Familiarity with palm markets preferred; risk management exposure is an advantage
