\*Role and Responsibilities\*  
\- Combine data engineering and analytics to deliver business value.  
\- Design, develop, and implement data pipelines for ingesting and transforming large volumes of data.  
\- Build scalable data models that power the core platform.  
\- Identify and analyze trends, and perform ad-hoc analysis to generate insights that help clients make informed decisions.  
  
\*Team Organization & Culture\*  
\- Report to either the Product Manager or Head of Engineering (relocated from EU to Malaysia).  
\- Collaborate with lead/senior Data Engineers based in Kuala Lumpur and Europe.  
\- Join an entrepreneurial and ambitious team from Malaysia and Europe, including ex-management consultants.  
\- The engineering hub in Kuala Lumpur (15 staff) supports software development, data engineering, and analytics.  
  
\*Must Have\*  
\- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation, cleaning, and preparation.  
\- Strong analytical mindset with a passion for working with numbers and turning data into actionable insights.  
\- Ability to define and solve ambiguous, open-ended business problems through exploratory and analytical approaches.  
\- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.  
  
\*Nice to Have\*  
\- Experience with Pyspark, Databricks, and AWS cloud infrastructure.  
\- Background in consulting or a quantitative degree.  
  
\*Grade / Level\*  
\- 100% individual contributor role.  
\- 4–5+ years of hands-on data experience.  
\- Not suitable for data analysts with experience limited to building dashboards.  
  
\*Work Arrangement\*  
\- Hybrid work model: 3 days in office per week.
