> Fundcraft · Girona, Spain · Full-time · Posted 2026-09-17

**Salary:** EUR 60,000–70,000

**Workplace:** on_site

**Department:** Corporate Functions

## Description

### **About the role:**

We're looking for a Senior Financial Controller to own the accuracy and integrity of our financials across Luxembourg, Spain, and France. You'll run the close process end-to-end, own budgeting and forecasting in partnership with department heads and the VP Finance, and keep our control environment tight as we scale.

Beyond the numbers, you'll be a real partner to the business - supporting investor reporting, fundraising deliverables, and the systems work that lets finance keep pace with a growing company.

This role is based in Girona and reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

### **Key Responsibilities**

- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across all entities (Luxembourg, Spain, France), ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare consolidated management accounts and financial statements under IFRS or local GAAP as applicable
- Own the budgeting and forecasting cycle — working with department heads to build bottoms-up plans and track actuals vs. budget with clear variance analysis
- Maintain a robust internal control framework and drive continuous improvement across financial processes
- Manage statutory filings, VAT, corporate tax, and liaison with external auditors and tax advisors across jurisdictions
- Support investor reporting and due diligence requests, including board pack financials
- Partner with the VP Finance on fundraising-related financial deliverables (data rooms, financial models, lender or investor Q&A)
- Contribute to the implementation and improvement of financial systems and ERP tooling
- Mentor junior finance team members as the team grows

### **Skills & Behaviours**

- 6+ years in a controller, senior accountant, or similar finance role - ideally in a scaling tech or fintech company, or in professional services (Big 4, fund services, or similar) transitioning into industry
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS and/or Luxembourg GAAP); multi-entity consolidation experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Odoo and financial reporting tools
- Comfortable operating in a multi-jurisdiction environment (Luxembourg and Spain experience particularly valuable)
- A builder's mindset - you take ownership, you document what you create, and you leave things better than you found them
- High attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
- Excellent communicator in English; French is a meaningful plus given our Luxembourg footprint

## Requirements

### Education & Certifications

- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

## Benefits

- Join a culture that celebrates creativity and welcomes innovative, disruptive ideas, empowering you to make a real impact.

- Embrace automation and seamless tech integration in your workflows, while our platform boosts operations through tech leverage, ensuring you stay ahead of the curve and updated with new technologies.
- Work in a comfortable, ergonomic environment within our spacious, modern offices where you can enjoy daily fresh fruit and coffee!
